1. Visit the Volcano
Visit the famous Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park!

In this National Park, there are many areas that are free to access, some routes which are closer to the crater require visitors to be guided by an advisor assigned by the Park. It was a great experience seeing steam from the vents and the formation of fresh lava!

2. Join Local Tours
Here on the Big Island, there are sooooo many tours that you can join. Remember to book in advance, especially if you plan to visit in the high seasons – between June to August & December to January.

Swimming with Dolphins is definitely a special and enjoyable experience. The water in Kona, Hawaii is clean, the people are highly educated with the sense of environmental protection. They maintain a suitable sea environment and enforce minimal disturbance to the wild animals while enhancing the experience for visitors as much as possible.

Snorkelling and see lots of tropical fishes
Captain Cook Bay is a famous area which you can reach in around 20-30 mins by boat from the Kailua Pier.
Bite Me is a very professional tour company which offers loads of sea activities and watching wildlife. Staff there are very helpful and friendly!

There are also many water activities you can do on your own. Including Swimming, surfing and paddle boarding, it’s all fun!

4. Visit the Local Brewery
Kona Brewing Co. is a traditional local brewery famous in the local community.



The beer here is produced in the local brewery, different from the beer we drink on other continents. Longboard and Big Wave are the most famous bottled beer from the Kona Brewery.
